Les Freres Corbusier was founded in 2003.
Since that time, the company has created ten evening-length works for the theater:
The Franklin Thesis (2002 & 2004), President Harding Is A Rock Star (2003), A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant (New York, 2003-4, 2006 & Los Angeles, 2004), Boozy: The Life, Death, and Subsequent Vilification of Le Corbusier, and, More Importantly, Robert Moses (2005), Heddatron (2006), Hell House (2006), Dance Dance Revolution (2008), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (2008, 2009, 2010), Love’s Labour’s Lost (in collaboration with the Public Theater, 2013), and Here's Hoover! (2014), as well as several rock shows and dance theater pieces, including The Shaker Sisters (2002-3) and Manifest Destiny (2004).
Described variously as “gifted troublemakers” (The New Yorker), “goofy brainiacs” (Time Out), and a “punk post-modernist theater company” (Paper Magazine), Les Freres productions have won OBIE, Lucille Lortel, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards.
